Some bets you just shouldn't take. A New Zealand man found that out the hard way, when after losing a bet, he had to change his name, legally, to "Full Metal Havok More Sexy N Intelligent Than Spock And All The Superheroes Combined With Frostnova."
The bet happened back in 2010, but the New Zealand government just recently approved the name change. Believe it or not, the only requirements of a Department of Internal Affairs Births Deaths and Marriages name change is an application fee and a 100-character limit. The 22-year-old man's new name clocks in at 99 characters.
Mr. Frostnova can change his name back to something a little less unusual if he coughs up the $137 fee. The process will take about 8 days.
