New research finds if your head aches you might want to "get it on" to stop the pain. For the study, researchers collected data on 400 patients who were treated for cluster headaches or migraine headaches over a two-year period. They found that 33-percent of headache sufferes had sex during a headache and of those, 60-percent of migraine patients and 36-percent of cluster headaches had an improvement in symptoms. In fact, of those who got it on during their headache, 19-percent experienced complete relief of headache symptoms, 51-percent reported feeling moderate relief and 29-percent reported mild relief. Researchers say the pain relief may be caused by the body releasing endorphins during sex, and also any changes in blood pressure that may occur. The study was published in the journal of the International Headache Society.
