-Peanut Butter This is real!

If your PB and J is lacking a nautical feel, two scientists have got you covered. P. Zelda Montoya and Barrett L. Christie and the Dallas Zoo and Children's Aquarium have created a peanut butter jellyfish.

Why? “We would love to claim we conducted this trial with noble purpose” Montoya and Christie say according to “But the truth is that we just wanted to make peanut butter and jellyfish simply to see if it could be done." The process is simpler than you might expect.

The pair of scientists got 250 baby moon jellyfish and put them in an aquarium. Then blended creamy peanut butter and salt water and added that to the aquarium twice a day. Not only did the jellyfish eat the peanut butter, but they almost tripled in size. The two published this experiment and came to the ultimate conclusion. "we feel that becoming one with peanut butter helps them fulfill their ultimate destiny as a species," Montoya and Christie wrote. "To become peanut butter and jellyfish!”
